Wednesday is my night off, but here's the rest of my weekly schedule - now that the fall season has started...

Sun 9pm - Brothers & Sisters (MUST SEE)

Mon 9pm - CSI Miami (David Caruso is such a billy bad-ass... NOT!)

Tues 7pm - House (MUST SEE)

Tues 8pm The Unit (have you ever seen the gadgets they have on this show?)

Tues 9pm - Nip Tuck (MUST SEE - I will be upset if I miss this show)

Thurs 8pm - Grey's Anatomy (MUST SEE - I CANNOT miss this show)

Thurs 9pm - ER (if I still feel like watching TV, but last week's episode was 5 stars)

We are upgrading to Verizon FIOS cable/tv stuff. We already have Fios internet. Our new package comes with a DVR!!!!! I'm so very excited! This means that all shows that start before 9pm can be watched later and I can interact with the fam - like I should. I'm only this way for the fall season. Idol gets me in the spring season, but that's it.

Religion

I wanted to make a religious statement cause I just feel like it.

I was raised Catholic and feel nothing when I go to church... other than the urge to sit/stand/kneel when certain words are said.

I admire and love two friends who happen to be LDS. They are good people and have wonderful families. Without converting, they are ministering to me to help me find my way back to a relationship with god.

Can't see that I'll be a devout Catholic, but I've got to find a place where we can all belong (my family.) There is a God, in my very humble opinion, and it's your choice how you thank Him, praise Him or talk to Him. I don't care if you know the words to the prayer that starts "hail holy queen, mother of mercy....."

the weather channel

I used to give Jay shit about watching nothing but the weather channel. But when there are major storms (hurricanes) I get a kick out TWC. I laugh at the fools out in the wind, I'm curious about how people handle it and what kind of flooding happens.

And I'm also very concerned because I'm responsible for the Mid Atlantic and North East regions at work. So if we have store closings, I'm on it and have to adjust advertising as necessary. You can imagine what the SE regional analyst had to do last year with Katrina in both Florida and New Orleans.

So I'm a weather freak now too. And Jimmy Kimmel is on now so I must sign off :-)

He just looks creepy and I don't care if he's Jon Benet's killer or not, he should NOT be allowed anywhere near children. They say he confessed and knew details of the crime scene... but his ex wife says he was with her that Christmas. I don't even care, just get that freak off the streets.

Funny how I had an enormous amount of compassion for Andrea Yates (obviously killed those 5 children) but this John Karr freak just looks at the cameras weird and I'm ready to sent him to TX for the death penalty!

I can't believe only ONE person in Colorado has been killed since 1979! And only 2 on death row right now.... sorry, but I'm all for the death penalty. This creep might end up as ill as Andrea Yates, but he's a child porn freak and that puts him in a whole separate category.

I think I've seen all the news coverage I need on that subject. Let me know when the trial starts in 2012 and I'll tune in again.

FUNNY

In 8th grade I went to the Iowa State spelling bee and placed 32nd or something in the entire state. Misspellings drive me nuts. I JUST noticed that I have bipolar spelled wrong in my sub title on this blog. LMAO!!! I'm going to leave it that way for a while.

5. come up with ways to make some cash so you can spend more or pay for overdrawn accounts
6. run up thousands in debt
7. Have a pile in your house that you bought because it was cute and you just HAD to have it and then you donate it for the tax deduction

In the past seven days I've done #2 and #3. No more eBay. I'm done. If Jay wants me to buy shoes for Grace's chubber feet then he can do it cause Stride Rites for for about $5-$10 on eBay.

I don't carry a credit card, I no longer shop for large purchases on my own, I can't have more than $20 cash at one time, I don't grocery shop alone and it's dangerous for me to be in a mall with the checkbook.

Last week I went into 4 or 5 stores but I left the checkbook in the car and even my purse. Just me and my keys... getting a rush from everything I could buy. Is that bad? I'm thinking not, but I'm not replacing the bad behavior with something else.

Random:

• I need a new haircut. I got some pictures of me from the party yesterday and I look awful. Really bad... and fat
• I'm finally getting one of our goldens groomed this week
• I have major dental work on Wed... reconstructing 2 fillings. at least there's no cutting. I'm getting the gas and probably taking headphones so I don't hear the drilling.
• We are giving Faith pierced ears for her birthday. She's gonna shit her pants!
• Because we went through out August expenses, I'll be making lots of the party decorations... like instead of a bead curtain, a ribbon & tulle curtain. I'll need some tulle but will watch for craft store coupons.
• The girls have done a good job of cleaning up their toys and keeping their rooms and the play room clean.

Ambien is starting to kick in. Goodnight bad day turned ok... I'm looking forward to an AM meds morning :-)

Florida Humor

This one is from my uncle in Miami...

A Florida senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.

"Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-75, pushing the pedal even more. Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw the state trooper behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring.

He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this," and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The old gentleman paused. Then said, "Years ago, my wife ran off with a Florida State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, Sir," replied the trooper.
