I wanted to make a religious statement cause I just feel like it.
I was raised Catholic and feel nothing when I go to church... other than the urge to sit/stand/kneel when certain words are said.
I admire and love two friends who happen to be LDS. They are good people and have wonderful families. Without converting, they are ministering to me to help me find my way back to a relationship with god.
Can't see that I'll be a devout Catholic, but I've got to find a place where we can all belong (my family.) There is a God, in my very humble opinion, and it's your choice how you thank Him, praise Him or talk to Him. I don't care if you know the words to the prayer that starts "hail holy queen, mother of mercy....."
Looked into LDS a few years ago. I don't agree with some fundemental beliefs of theirs, BUUUUUUT I agree that they are some of the most balanced folks on the planet.
Family is V impt to them, and relationship with community, and a personal relationship with God. What I like about their faith system is that prioritizing time, money and values are foremost. With that mindset, "outside" influences (that which you hold no value to) are so much easier to overcome and/or ignore.
Maybe you admire them because you need to strengthen one of these areas in your life??

I'm a Christian and no offense but I'm not really to keen on the whole Catholic traditions and sacrements. I go to a non-denominational church and I love it. I feel I have a pretty good relationship with the Lord right now but ofcourse I'm always striving for improvement and sanctification. Well good luck with your jouney and walk with the Lord. May God bless you and lift you up!

***********I have two friends *************
I tried to include the quote about admiring your friends that are LDS, but it got cut off . . . . that's what I was agreeing about!
They are both very wonderful people that I highly respect and think they are both really neat people who are dedicated to their faith!

Call me stupid but what is LDS? And yes I believe in a higher power that I choose to call to call God. I am spiritual but not religous.

I've tried most of the denominations- Seventh Day Adventist, Baptist, Mormon, Assembly of God, Four Square, Nazarene, Catholic, Methodist....
When I finally felt like I'd found something, it was in a Calvary Chapel. They're all over the place; Google it. It's Non-Denominational, which I think is a little funny- doesn't that make it a denomination too?
LDS are very devout and strongly believe in what they practice and preach. It's up to you to determine whether or not what they are preaching is RIGHT.
